1. Can you introduce yourself?
I am David (davidlyfit)! Together with my partner Yessica we started LP Performance (lpperformance_) in July 2019, a studio with Personal Training and small group trainings of CrossFit and HIIT. I am passionate about sport since I was 6 years old and never stopped practicing, from martial arts and gymnastics to weightlifting and CrossFit. I have always combined acrobatics and weightlifting.
2. Why did you choose PCA for your education?
I was looking for an international Personal Training certification, and I found out PCA was giving the NASM Personal Trainer course so I decided to go for it! And it was worth it!
3. What did the NASM accreditation bring you ?
It brought me a new approach of programming (Optimum Performance Training) and the corrective exercise continuum that I can apply in my classes of HIIT and CrossFit as well. Education, learning is the key to keep on growing. There is always something new to learn!
4. What is your specialization ?
I would not say we have a specialization at LP Performance, but our priority is always to move well. Do not limit yourself to one discipline, try them all, take the best of each, and grow! This is our philosophy, what we believe in, and the way we are teaching.
5. What is the coolest exercise you like to do with your clients and why ?
The handstand, for most adults it is something they never did before, so it is always something new, exciting and challenging to do!
6. What is the most fulfilling part in coaching others ?
To see my clients and members improve, starting to be aware of their own body, understand how to use it and be able to move properly.
7. What is your favorite quote ?
